These mattresses have been specifically selected and tested for use in our wall beds to provide the ideal fit, proper support, and reliable long-term performance, both while sleeping and when stored in the upright position.

They are 10" thick to allow you to keep your mattress pad, sheets, and comforter on your bed and close it up.

WILL MY MATTRESS WORK?

Most quality mattresses will work if they are designed for vertical storage and meet our thickness,

weight, and support requirements.

 

For best performance we recommend:

  • Maximum thickness: 10" to 12" depending on the wall bed model.

    • Murphy Desk Beds- 10" thick

    • Murphy Table Beds- 12" thick

    • Murphy Wall Beds- 12" thick

  • Mattress weight -Queen Size beds operate best with a mattress weighing around 80- 90lbs

  • A quality mattress with good edge support

  • A mattress designed for everyday residential use

  • Avoid ultra-plush mattresses or mattresses with very soft edge foam that can compress excessively.

  • Maintain its shape when stored upright.

 

  • Be approved for vertical storage.
